Terry Lee Stallman, 73, of Atkins, died Friday, March 30, 2018, in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 2, at the church. Overton Funeral Home, Indianola, is in charge of arrangements.
Terry was born Dec. 10, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, to Elsie (Frimmel) and Louis Stallman. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On Oct. 24, 1970, Terry married Susan Miller in Cedar Rapids, and together they raised their daughter, Tammy. He worked at Collins Radio/Rockwell Collins and retired after 35 years of service. He loved spending time with his family and was very proud of his grandson.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; daughter, Tammy (Shawn) Bruner; grandson, Cody Bruner; brother, Marvin (Deanna) Stallman; sisters, Rita (Art) Peck, Mary (Larry) Ockenfels, Celestine Duncalf, Doris (Ed) Ballard and Bea Stallman; brother-in-law, Richard Bradke; sister-in-law, Wilma Stallman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ed, Glenn, Franklin, Louis Jr. and Donald; and sisters, Irene and Stella.
Terry's family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Ghosh and the compassionate staff at the Ghosh Center, as well as Peggy and the compassionate staff in the Hospice Unit, and for the support from Father Vu.
