Easter Sales 2018: Shop Macy's, Walmart and Toys R Us for Best Deals For Holiday Weekend
Once the fun of a pagan fertility holiday has worn off, the kids have found the hidden eggs and everybody has had their fill of chocolate, some may want to celebrate Easter by shopping. And what’s a better way to practice self-love than by directly engaging in capitalism?
If you’re going to shop this Easter, you might as well look at what’s on sale. Easter isn’t really known for its sales, but here are a few to consider.
EASTER ITEMS
Actual Easter products start declining in price as the holiday approaches. If you’re interested in classy-looking decor, try Pottery Barn. For kids, you can buy Easter eggs, with candy and toy prizes inside, in bulk from Oriental Trading. They might not arrive in time for the holiday if you order them now, but you can always pretend that it’s Easter next weekend.
GAMES
IndieGala always has sales, but this weekend it’s focusing on Warner Brothers PC games. That means you can get up to 78 percent off the F.E.A.R. Trilogy, Lego games, Batman games and Lego Batman games. The Game Collection is having a sale on console games. It’s currently unknown whether Steam will have a game sale for Easter.
TOYS
This technically isn’t an Easter sale, but you should be aware that this Easter, Toys R Us will have lots of clearance items in the face of bankruptcy. Go in person to see what’s on sale (before it’s gone) and check their online sales.
BOX STORES
Macy’s has 20 percent off select items and free shipping if you order $49 or more. The deal ends Saturday.

WalMart is also having a "Dress-to-Impress" sale on pastel Easter dresses.
Target regularly has sales. This week they have some cash back options for users of the app IBotta.
TRAVEL
The first 1,000 people to buy a BoltBus ticket before April 1 for travel between April 3 and May 23 will get a $25 gift card to Restaurant.com.
REAL RABBITS
Just kidding. Don’t buy one. Rabbits are a 10-year responsibility. Not decorations or justifiable impulses for you to abandon once you’re bored. If you know beforehand that you want a rabbit and can take good, consistent care of it for a decade, consider adopting. It will take longer than a weekend for you to make a good decision about a new family member.
Can’t find anything you want? Wait until the day after Easter and get the chocolate on clearance.
