Strong winds this afternoon in Waterloo region and Wellington County

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement saying winds will reach 70 km/h Saturday afternoon.

Strong winds are expected this afternoon for Waterloo region and Wellington County, warns Environment Canada.

Winds will develop ahead of an upcoming cold front, said the special weather statement. 

Environment Canada said winds will reach 70 km/h Saturday afternoon. Winds could gust to 80 km/h.

Winds will begin to weaken by the evening.
