Hanuman Jayanti is being celebrated in different parts of the country today with religious fervor. The day commemorates the birth of Lord Hanuman. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted people on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
In Uttar Pradesh, 'Bhandaras or feast are being organised at various places.
Devotees are thronging the Hanuman temples across the state since early morning. In state capital Lucknow, people are visiting the famous Hanumaan temple Aliganj, Hanumaan Setu Temple, Daxinmukhi Hanuman among others. In Varanasi, Durga kund and Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple have been decorated and prayers are being held to mark the day.
Thousands of devotees also visited the Panki temple of Kanpur, with a procession of Hanumaan Jayanti taken out in Muzaffarnagar. Several Ministers are also taking part in Jayant programmes across the state. Elaborate security arrangements have also been made.
