Three killed in separate incidents in Assam

MORIGAON (ASSAM): Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents on National Highway-37 in Assam's Morigaon district, police said on Saturday.

One person was killed after he was hit by a car at Bangaldhara point near Dharamtul at 6 am today, the police said, adding that the incident happened when the man was on his way to his chicken farm from home near NH-37.


In another accident, two bikers who were travelling from Morigaon to Dharamtul, were killed after their motorcycle skidded off the road and plunged into a pond adjacent to the road, the police said, adding that the incident happened at Naramari point at around 9.30 pm yesterday.


The bodies were recovered by police and sent for post-mortem examination, a police officer said.
