Khawaja tried to put on some resistance, scoring his 12th Test half century – but could not sustain for a longer period. Earlier, Temba Bavuma played a solid innings, and remained unbeaten on 95 as the home side were bowled out for 488. Pat Cummins took two wickets in two balls, getting rid of Morne Morkel for a golden duck in his last Test.

That is Stumps on Day 2 of the fourth Test between South Africa and Australia. South Africa have completely dominated the day in Johannesburg. They posted 488 in the first innings and then the bowlers dismantled the Australia batting line-up and reduced then to 110 for the loss of six wickets. Australia are still behind by 378 runs and need 179 more runs to save the follow-on. Captain Tim Paine is at the crease and has a big task ahead of him
100 up for Australia - It has come at quite a heavy cost. Vernon Philander has been the man that has caused much damage - taking three wickets. Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj have taken one each. The match is completely in South Africa's control at the moment.

Fifty for Usman Khawaja - His 12th Test fifty. He is leading Australia's resistance at Wanderers. Australia are 90/3 and this partnership between him and Shaun Marsh has crossed 50 runs. He will look to convert this into a century and stick it in out in the middle for a longer period.
Australia have reached the total of 50 but it has come at the cost of three wickets. Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh are in the middle now and these two can lift the spirits of the team after a poor start.

Keshav Maharaj has settled down in the middle with Temba Bavuma and Proteas have crossed the 450-run mark. They will be looking forward to reach a total of 500 now and Bavuma, who is currently on 85*, would be eyeing a ton here.

Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma have taken South Africa's total over 350 in the first innings. It took a glorious flick by de Kock that went for a boundary to reach the tota. Australia are desperate of a wicket here but so far, the first session has completely gone Australia's way.
Australia seamers have not been able to break the resistance between Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma. Australia captain is now looking for his spinners to do the job and on comes Nathan Lyon. Will the spinner be able to find a breakthrough?
Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock have provided South Africa with good, positive start to the day's play. They need to build upon this strat and stitch a good partnership to put Australia on backfoot.
