Sizzling heat affects normal life in Raj, Jaisalmer hottest at 42.7 deg C

Blistering heat continued to affect normal life in parts of desert state of Rajasthan, with being the hottest place in the state with a maximum of 42.7 degrees

According to the meteorological department, heat wave conditions prevailed in Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions.

Bikaner sizzled at 42.1 degrees Celsius, while Kota, Jodhpur, Churu and Sriganganagar recorded maximum temperatures of 41.9 degrees Celsius, 41 degrees Celsius, 40.5 degrees and 39.7 degrees respectively.

and registered day temperatures of 39.4 degrees and 36.1 degree respectively.
