PM Modi says Indians living abroad are true national ambassadors, contributing in strengthening India's relations with other countries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, Indians living abroad are true national ambassadors who contribute in strengthening India's relation with other countries.

Mr Modi was addressing the Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj in Nairobi via video conferencing on its Silver Jubilee Celebrations today. He said, Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj has made great contribution in the development of Africa for the last 125 years. He said, the contribution of the Samaj to Kenya is noteworthy.

The Prime Minister said, the Patel Samaj must be residing in Kenya but the Indianess dwells deep in their heart. He said, several Indians have played an important role in freedom of Kenya. Mr Modi said, he remembers his visit to Kenya in 2016 when he was given a grand welcome and today also he remembers that moment.

He said, India is investing in various sectors in Kenya from food processing to skill education. He said, country's foreign policy is attaining new heights. The Prime Minister said, India has announced 10 billion dollar aid for development of Africa. He said, recently, New Delhi announced the opening of 18 new embassies and High Commissions in the region.

Mr Modi said, Cutch people are known for turning challenges into opportunities. He said, he has seen a time when there was water scarcity in Kutch but now Narmada water is reaching to the region.

He said, there is a proposal of coastal development of fifty thousand acres of area. The Prime Minister said, Vibrant Gujarat started by the state government is now being adopted by all states as a model of business summit.
