Fluid Stillness: imageries culled out of Bengaluru's lakes

Photography as a creative means to turn Bengalureans towards the elixir of life, water. This is precisely what Vivek Mathew chose to do with Fluid Stillness, an exhibition of arresting images captured from an array of waterbodies across the city. On the list are the all-too-familiar backdrops of the Bellandur Lake and more.
Also featured are imageries culled out from the stillness of Sankey Tank, Ulsoor Lake, Lalbagh Lake, Kaikondrahalli Lake, Jakkur Lake, Cubbon Park Lake and the Hennur Lake Biodiversity Park. Now on at the Venkatappa Art Gallery, Kasturba Road, the exhibition will stay alive until April 2, 11 am to 6 pm, Sunday included.
Vivek Mathew, who grew up in Bengaluru in the 90s, asks you to pause and take a meditative look at your connection with the city, through this series of photographs. Shot over the past two years, this series enhances the beautiful elements that still exist in Bengaluru.
