UDAYAPUR: CMG Club Sankata hammered Gorkha Boys of Rupandehi 3-0 and advanced to the final of the fourth Katari Mayor Gold Cup Football Tournament here in Gaighat on Thursday.
Prakash Budhathoki converted a free kick into the goal to open the scoring in the 29th minute, while foreign recruit Ibrahim doubled the tally in the 87th minute and Santa Tamang made it 3-0 three minutes later. Man-of-the-match Ibrahim got Rs 5,000.
Sankata will face Jhapa-XI in the final match on Saturday. Top two teams will get Rs 500,000 and Rs 251,000 respectively.
