The Illinois River at Chewey
* until Saturday morning, or until the advisory is cancelled.
* At 7:15 PM Thursday, the stage was 9.3 feet.
* Action stage is 9.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 11.0 feet by early Friday
afternoon, which is below flood stage. The river is expected to
fall below 9 feet Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet, no flooding occurs but all recreational
floating along the Illinois River ceases due to strong turbulence.
