The branch manager of a nationalised bank was arrested in Ganjam district for alleged misappropriation of crop loan, police said today.
N Naik (59), branch manager of the State Bank of India, Sorada, who was arrested yesterday, had allegedly committed the fraud when he was manager of the bank's Karchuli branch four years ago.
On October 4, 2017, Udaya Nath Swain, the current manager of SBI, Karchuli branch, lodged an FIR with the police against Naik for misappropriating about Rs 7.50 lakh on fake documents for crop loans.
