In Jammu & Kashmir, a Special Police Officer was killed, and his wife besides another civilian were injured in two different terrorist attacks in South Kashmir's Anantnag and Kulgam districts late last evening. Unknown terrorists also attacked Army Patrol in another area in south Kashmir.
A special police officer Mushtaq Ahmad was killed and his wife injured after unidentified militants attacked them at their residence in Katsoo Bijbehara area of Anantnag district.
A police spokesman told AIR that his wife is undergoing treatment at hospital. In another incident in Kulgam, unidentified gunmen fired upon one seminary teacher Sayar Wani when he was coming out of mosque after prayers. He is recuperating in hospital.
Earlier, unknown militants travelling in a vehicle fired upon Mobile Vehicle Patrolling Party in south Kashmir’s Ahgam Shopian area. Police said one civilian was injured with bullets in the said incident probably in cross firing.
Police said he is stable and a case registered in the incident. No militant outfit claimed responsibility for any of such attacks.
