Defeating BJP only goal in Karnataka: Sharad Yadav

Rebel JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav said the upcoming Assembly elections in Karnataka in May, was like a semi-final to the next Lok Sabha polls and it was his party's goal to defeat the BJP at any cost.

"The whole country is watching the Karnataka elections. We must make India BJP-free. I have come to Karnataka for this," he said in a media conference on Friday.

He added that JD(U) had not decided to back either the Congress or JD(S).

"I am here for two days. I will speak to party workers and let you know," he added.
