Snag hits Blue Line

A snag on a section of Delhi Metro’s Blue Line on Thursday disrupted train services for close to 90 minutes.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials said a snag in the contact wire of overhead electrification was reported around 2.05 p.m. between Karol Bagh and R. K. Ashram metro stations. However, services between Karol Bagh-Dwarka Sector 21 and Barakhamba Road-Noida and Vaishali remained normal during this time.

“There was an OHE problem between Karol Bagh to R. K. Ashram up line section of Line 3..,” the DMRC said.

Single-line train services between Karol Bagh and Barakhamba Road stretch was operated during the 90-minute period, added DMRC officials. Services on the line were restored around 3.30 p.m.
