In Tamil Nadu, two workers were killed, on the spot, in an explosion in the fireworks factory, while one worker suffered serious injuries in Kovilpatti near Virudhunagar. According to Police, the fatal accident took place, when workers were mixing the chemicals.
While two workers, Murugan and Chandran died on the spot, the third one Irulappan suffered 80 per cent burns.
Fire and rescue services personnel and police rescued Irulappan and admitted him to hospital. Only three workers were present in the factory at the time of the explosion, police said.
