Stalin asks CM to hold Cabinet meet, will consult all parties

The ruling AIADMK will undertake a fast in the State on Tuesday to urge the Centre to immediately constitute the Cauvery Management Board and the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee.

DMK president M.K. Stalin on Friday called upon Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami to convene the Cabinet and adopt a resolution condemning Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to act on the Supreme Court order on the Cauvery. His party will hold an all-party meeting in Chennai to discuss holding agitations in the State.

AIADMK coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam announced in Madurai that that the party’s cadre would observe a one-day fast across the State on April 3.

Separately, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said the State government would take a decision on further action after consulting legal experts.
