Here's a quick list including several fun things happening around the city for you to enjoy over Easter long weekend.

Waterdown Easter Egg Hunt

Memorial Park
Friday, March 30
Starts 9:30 a.m.

The annual egg hunt returns to Memorial Park in support of McMaster Children's Hospital. The hunt is completely free.

There's a special time blocked off for your extra little ones -- kids under 3.

Easter Petting Zoo

Hamilton Farmer's Market
Saturday, March 31
10 a.m. to noon

Hamilton Farmer's Market is the place to go if you want to visit a petting zoo for free this Easter weekend. There will be brand-new baby sheep joining the event.

Quidditch Canada National Championship

Tim Hortons Field
Saturday, March 31 to Sunday, April 1
Games begin 8:30 a.m.

Visit the field in person or watch from the comfort of your home for this year's quidditch championship games. The opening ceremony is on Saturday shortly before 8 a.m., and games begin at 8:30 a.m.

Video game pop-up shop

367 Highway 5 West, Dundas
Sunday, April 1
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There's a monthly draw for one of two gift cards at this pop-up shop at Mizener's Antiques & More Market this Sunday. Hosted weekly by Jephs VGHQ, a local video game store, you could swing by and meet some fellow video game lovers.

Potluck and Jam at The Clef

The BACK apartment of 171 Stanley Ave, Hamilton
Monday, April 2
7 p.m. to midnight

Join music lovers to jam at an intimate, potluck-style setting. You can bring instruments or use what's available. Musicians at all levels are welcome.
