‘Tiger and I share a good bond’

After her international project Kung Fu Yoga released in 2016, Disha Patani is now gearing up for the release of her next Bollywood project — Baaghi 2. The film releasing today (March 30) is sequel of the 2016 hit film Baaghi. The sequel has been directed by Ahmed Khan and stars Tiger Shroff, Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpayee.

This is the first time the actress is romancing her rumoured boyfriend Tiger on screen, despite having worked together in music videos. “It was amazing working with Tiger because we are very good friends. At the beginning, I thought it’s going to be a little difficult, because you know how friends make fun of each other. But it didn’t go like that. We were very focused and before we went for the shoot, we were were done with the workshops and were completely prepared with all the scenes. We share a good bond so it was good to get that action and reaction,” says the actress, who made her Bollywood debut with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

She says that because she knew Tiger it was easy to romance him on screen. “When you don’t know someone it’s a bit tough. I remember on my first day of shoot with Sushant (Singh Rajput) we were shooting a romantic track. I didn’t even know him and inspite of that I had to romance him. It was a little awkward.”

The actress says that she hates to watch herself on screen and therefore doesn’t watch her films. “I had watched M S Dhoni... with my eyes shut. I can’t hear my own voice and I don’t like judging myself. My director tell me to do my work and I do it. I don’t like thinking about it too much.”

Disha also doesn’t like to worry about how much money her films will make. “Of course, I want to know what’s the first day collection or how much is the collection after three days. But it’s not like I am crazy about numbers.” 

The actress is confident that Baaghi 2 will liked by the audience because it’s got a strong story. “I have watched the film while dubbing for it. There is so much suspense till the end and that’s the reason Sajid sir announced the third part,” says the actress before signing off.
