KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries after the taxi they were travelling on met with an accident in Basundhara of Kathmandu district on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as local Ajit Shrestha (16) and injured as taxi driver Binod Magar (27).
According to police, the incident occurred when a tipper (Ba 2 Ka 3402) rammed the taxi (Ba 1 Ja 3975) at 6:15 am today, critically injuring the taxi passenger Shrestha.
Shrestha was rushed to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 7:45 am today during the course of treatment, informed police.
Meanwhile, Magar has been undergoing treatment at the Basundhara-based Chirayu Hospital.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
