At Least 68 people lost their lives on Wednesday in rioting and gunfire in the cells of a police station in Venezuelan.

The fire at the detention facility in Carabobo state is the newest deadly casualties in Venezuela’s overloaded prison.

“The State Prosecutors Office promise to deepen probe to immediately clarify what happened in these painful events that have left dozens of Venezuelan families in mourning,” Chief Prosecutor Tarek William wrote on Twitter. Venezuelan jails are scandalously packed with weapons.

As per State official Jesus Santander, the state of Carabobo was in grief following the incident in Venezuelan.

“Forensic doctors are looking for the fatalities toll,” Mr. Santander stated.

“There are people who are inside those dungeons (…) and the authorities do not know they exist because they do not dare to enter,” Humberto Prado, a local prisons rights activist affirmed.
