One year after giving notice of Britain’s intention to leave the European Union under Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, Theresa May has been touring the country to engage with voters across the United Kingdom about what the Brexit process means for them.
The Prime Minister told the BBC during her anniversary tour that she thought “there are real opportunities” for the UK outside of the bloc, and forecast a “bright future”, but made clear that “Brexit is going to deliver a country that will be different”.
