Holidaymakers are being warned to brace themselves for possible disruption as thousands of people prepare to make their Easter getaway.
Transport bosses are urging motorists and passengers planning to travel by rail and air to plan ahead as we approach one of the busiest weekends of the year.
Anyone hoping to beat the crowds by getting a late train tonight or catch an early morning could be disappointed with some rail services replaced by buses.
Meanwhile Manchester Airport is expected 160,000 people through its doors over the Easter weekend with passengers urged to allow extra time to check-in and travel.
Drivers will also have to contend with wintry weather conditions with a snow warning issued for Easter Monday.
But there is some good news for motorists with the Welsh Government saying all roadworks will be lifted on the A55 today until Tuesday to minimise delays.
However, more than 400 sets of works are taking place across the UK rail network this weekend including lines between Wrexham and Bidston and Chester to Holyhead.
The “essential” engineering work could also cause a headache for motorists as it could add to bank holiday traffic jams with people opting to drive instead.

Engineering work is set to place between Chester and Holyhead; Shrewsbury and Chester; Birmingham International and Machynlleth and Aberystwyth until Good Friday.
It means that the 10.52pm Birmingham New Street to Holyhead service will terminate at Chester with a bus running between Chester and Holyhead.
While the 4.38am Llandudno Junction to Crewe Service will start from Chester at 5.37am with buses running between Rhyl and Chester.
Work between Shrewsbury and Chester will start after 10.20pm which affects the Wrexham to Bidston line.

The 10.09pm Wrexham to Bidston and the 10.56pm Bidston to Wrexham will not run but a replacement bus service will be in operation.
Also affected are services between Chester and Wolverhampton and trains from Shrewsbury to Manchester Piccadilly and Chester.
Improvement works will also be taking place between Birmingham International and Machynlleth and Aberystwyth until Friday March 30.
Arriva Trains Wales services including the 8.04pm Birmingham International to Aberystwyth service will terminate at Machynlleth.
A replacement bus will run between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth.
There will also be some changes to timetables on Easter Sunday (April 1) due work being carried out between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury.
As a result the 8.10am and 9.09am Shrewsbury to Birmingham International services will be replaced by a bus.
While the 9.51am Birmingham International to Aberystwyth service and the 10.48am Birmingham International to Chester train will both start from Shrewsbury.

Replacement buses will run between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury to connect with these services.
A Network Rail statement said: “At times it is unavoidable that Network Rail infrastructure improvement works may affect some of our services, meaning alterations to the scheduled timetables.
"Arriva Trains Wales and Network Rail apologise for any inconvenience that these temporary alterations may cause.
“We advise passengers intending to travel to enquire before starting their journey for full details of altered trains, onward connections and additional road transport. Details of alterations can be obtained below or from your local staffed booking office.”
