COLONIE — The suspect in a March 23 NBT bank robbery waived extradition and was picked up in Pennsylvania Wednesday by Colonie police investigators.

Joseph D. Bonesteel, 31, previously from Troy, says he is homeless, police said. He was transported to the Colonie Police station and formally charged with robbery and grand larceny, arraigned and jailed, police said.

A portion of the stolen money was recovered and the whereabouts of the remaining money is part of an investigation, police said.
