Rahul Gandhi takes a jibe at Narendra Modi, accuses RSS, BJP of destroying institutions

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the CBSE paper leaks and accused the RSS and BJP of destroying institutions.

“The exam leaks destroy the hopes and futures of millions of students. The Congress always protected our institutions. This is what happens when institutions are destroyed by the RSS/BJP. Believe me when I say, this is only the beginning,” he tweeted.

Hitting out at the prime minister, Gandhi, referring to a bunch of leaks in the country, said the “chowkidar” was weak. In the run-up to the 2014 general elections, Modi had referred to himself as India’s chowkidar.

“How many leaks? Data leak! Aadhar leak! SSC Exam leak! Election date leak! CBSE papers leak!

“There is a leak in everything, the ‘chowkidar’ is weak,” Gandhi said in a tweet that was in Hindi and English.

The CBSE on Wednesday announced a retest of the Class 10 mathematics and Class 12 economics papers following reports that they had been leaked.

Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said a new system would be put in place from Monday to ensure no leaks take place and that the government was conducting an internal inquiry .
