President Donald Trump announced a change in leadership at the Department of Veterans Affairs late Wednesday, saying in a pair of tweets that Admiral Ronny Jackson will be nominated to replace David Shulkin as VA secretary. Undersecretary of Defense Robert Wilkie will lead the agency in the interim, Trump said. Shulkin's ouster had been long rumored amid reports of turmoil at the VA, even as the White House had publicly supported him.
