Amanda Francis Carlson of Concord, Va. entered into heaven on Monday, March 19, 2018. She was the loving wife of Tyler Matthew Carlson for 11 years. Born on April 25, 1968, in Charlottesville, Va. Amanda was the daughter of the late Jean Lanora Booth and Henry Lee Deane, Sr. She is survived by her father, Clarence Edward Booth, Sr. In addition to her husband, Amanda is survived by two sons, Christopher Matthew Deane (Nickole Mays) of Amherst and Kenneth Michael Deane of Charlottesville; and three stepchildren. Amanda was the doting grandmother of five grandchildren. She was one of nine children, all of whom survived her, Carl Deane, Carolyn Uzzell and her husband, Glenn, Lee Deane and his wife, Cathy, Eddie Booth and his wife, Stacy, Randy Booth and his wife, Trena, Missy Kidd and her husband, Gary, Brenda Clifford and her husband, James, and Barbara Booth (Ricky Wright), and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Amanda was an employee of Guggenheimer Health and Rehab for 10 years, where she took pride in caring for her patients as a Certified Nurse Assistant. Her joy was found in knowing she was making a difference in their lives. Amanda will always be known as someone who took care of others before herself. Her hobbies included knitting and making jewelry. Her favorite time of the day was spent at home on her porch with her husband, feeding her birds and taking care of her dogs. Amanda was a loving wife, mother, stepmother, and sibling, and a friend to everyone she met. The family will receive friends at the Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, Va. from 7 until 9 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018. A service will take place there at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018, with a graveside service immediately following at the Evans-Booth Family Cemetery in Schuyler, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Amanda's memory to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 12211 Old Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502. Arrangements are under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel of Lovingston.
