Assembly Session extended by two days

The ninth session of Telangana Legislative Assembly that commenced on March 12 has been extended for two more days till March 29. As per the schedule decided initially, it was supposed to conclude on Tuesday after passing the Appropriation Bill, 2018.

Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary, who adjourned the house for lunch break at 1.55 p.m. after the Appropriation Bill was passed, made the announcement of the session’s extension when the House was reconvened after lunch. The government also introduced Telangana State Private Universities Establishment and Regulation Bill, 2018 during the post-lunch session.

The Speaker said the sittings would be extended for two more days, March 28 and 29, as requested by Leader of the House and as agreed by the Floor Leaders of Opposition parties.
