It’s raining jobs on GITAM SoT, B-school campus

82% students of B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA placed

The School of Technology (SoT) and GITAM Hyderabad Business School (GHBS) celebrated Achievers’ Day on Tuesday with appointment letters bring handed over to select students of engineering and management streams.

A total of 600 students have landed jobs through campus placements in which 100-odd companies participated. The students bagged over 125 multiple offers.

About 82% of B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA students were selected in the campus recruitment drive, organised by both IT and core companies.

VMWare selected three students, offering them an annual pay package of ₹11 lakh, the highest this season. That figure was followed by Commvault (₹10 lakh), Byju’s (₹9.5 lakh), Teradata (₹7.5 lakh), Karvy (₹7.42 lakh) and Zoho Corporation (₹6.5 lakh). About 15 companies offered ₹5 lakh-plus packages.

IBM recruited 70 engineering students from GITAM Hyderabad campus. Companies like Amazon offered jobs to 79 students, followed by Genpact (50), NTT Data (47), Value Momentum (27) and Virtusa (23). Other companies like Rockwell Collins, Mindtree, Portware, TechAspect, LiquidHub, FactSet, Reliance Jio, Times Group, Oracle, Aditya Birla, Asian Paints and Mahindra Finance also visited GITAM and offered jobs to students.
