Mollie King and AJ: Strictly Come Dancing star's pal spills all about her time on BBC show
STRICTLY COME DANCING star Mollie King danced with ballroom professional AJ Pritchard during the BBC One show last year. The Saturdays singer’s close friend Frankie Bridge has now opened up about the star’s time in the hit ballroom competition.
The 30-year-old and her ballroom partner AJ took to the dance floor during the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, but narrowly missed out on a chance to compete in the grand final.
The dance duo, who were plagued by rumours of romance after exhibiting a close bond, were eliminated in week 12 of the BBC series.
The Saturdays singer’s bandmate has now spoken out about her time on the show, revealing that the thought the star had had a real “journey”.
In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Frankie recalled watching her good friend and The Saturdays bandmate on the BBC One show.
I loved watching Mollie on Strictly Come Dancing, and seeing her confidence grow.”
“I loved watching Mollie on it,” she said. “And seeing her confidence grow.”
Frankie continued: “I think she definitely had a real journey as they say, and she loved it.
“She just looked beautiful on it. She was so elegant, she did amazing.”
It came shortly after Mollie was revealed to have dismissed claims that her singing career could be over, after her BBC Radio 1 co-star Matt Edmondson had implied that The Saturdays had “disbanded”.

But, the What About Us hitmaker soon hit back as she insisted that the girl group, who went on hiatus back in 2014, aren’t over for good.
Last weekend, Mollie was forced to make a huge confession about a very unusual hobby while live on BBC Radio 1.
The incident occurred while she was chatting to Matt during the pair’s weekend radio show.
The 32-year-old told listeners: “I’ve just discovered something about Mollie King which we need to talk about because it’s not normal and it’s not okay."

But, despite the alarming warning, Mollie went on to confess that one of her pastimes was viewing houses without the intention of buying or renting them.
Earlier this month, Frankie spoke out about rumours suggesting that Mollie could be dating cricketer Stuart Broad.
Stating that she didn’t know anything about it, she told OK! Magazine: “It’s all news to me!”
