Woman sub-registrar nabbed while accepting Rs 5,000 bribe

Surat: A woman sub-registrar was nabbed while accepting Rs 5,000 bribe from a female lawyer on Tuesday. ACB sleuths arrested Sunita Patel from her office on third floor of Prant Office in Navsari and recovered the bribe money from her. She had demanded money from the female lawyer to register her client’s marriage and issue the certificate. The lawyer filed a complaint with ACB. A trap was laid and the complainant went to pay the bribe and subsequently, the ACB sleuths nabbed the accused. tnn
