A popular radio jockey Rasikan Rajesh was hacked to death early Tuesday morning inside his studio in Thiruvananthapuram.
The 36-year-old Rajesh, who was also a mimicry artist and a folk singer, was with a friend at his Thiruvananthapuram studio when the two were attacked by unidentified men early Tuesday morning.
According to the police, the murder took place at around 2am at Metro Studio, a sound recording studio owned by Rajesh. Police suspect personal rivalry to be the motive behind the murder.
Rajesh and his friend Kuttan had just returned from a programme and were unloading their equipment at the studio when a group of unidentified assailants came in a car and attacked them with sharp weapons.
Local resident alerted by the commotion called the police, who rushed Rajesh and his friends to a hospital.
However, Rajesh succumbed to his injuries. His friend Kuttan, who injured during the attack, is undergoing treatment.
