The new Evoque Convertible shares its underpinnings, powertrain options and a host of its features with the existing Range Rover Evoque. The convertible SUV is a two-door model with a small boot. The fabric used for the roof is a polyacrylic and is made of five layers to provide thermal and acoustic lining. There are 4 motors which provide the silent operation of the roof while the Z-fold mechanism just weighs in at 68 kg. It's quick to fold too and takes just 18 seconds to go all the way down. You can take it down at driving speeds of up to 48 kmph as well, however, it takes three seconds longer to fold (21 seconds). To ensure the durability of the material, Jaguar Land Rover has subjected it to extreme testing and the Evoque convertible has undergone nearly 6750 test cycles of operation in temperatures ranging from -30 degree Celsius to 90-degree Celsius.

As said earlier, the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible is offered in only one variant - HSE Dynamic and it's powered by the company's tried and tested 2.0-litre Si4 petrol engine. Visually, the SUV does borrow most of its styling elements and comes in a two-tone orange and black shade with the A-pillars and the retractable soft-top roof coloured in black and the lower body in bright orange. The adaptive Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, radiator grille, air intakes, bumper element, wheel arch cladding and ORVMs also gets some black treatment.

In terms of dimensions, the Evoque Convertible is slightly longer than the regular Evoque at 4,370 mm but the wheelbase remains the same at 2,660 mm. The width and height are lesser compared to the five-door model at 1,900 mm and 1,609 respectively. The boot capacity is a little over 250 litre.
