Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba is visiting one of the security installations in south Kashmir today.
He would also make final security review meeting in Srinagar in the day.
During his meeting on Monday, Mr Gauba asked the top officials to engage the local boys in various developmental activities to keep them away from joining various militant outfits.
He called for carrying out clean anti militancy operations while avoiding collateral damage.
Home Secretary urged various security agencies to employ strategy that would help in avoiding fatal casualties from the forces’ side.
The Home Secretary also called for ensuring peaceful summer and go tough against all those who would try to derail the upcoming tourism season in Kashmir.
He also stressed the need to expedite the ongoing implementation work on over Rs 80 thousand Crore Prime Minister’s Development Package.
Mr Gauba arrived in Srinagar on Monday for a two-day visit to take stock of the security situation in view of the spurt in the violent activities in Kashmir region, infiltration of militants from across LoC and also the progress under Centre’s developmental package.
Besides Chief Secretary B B Vyas, State Home Secretary R K Goyal all the heads of various security agencies and other top officials from the state administration attended high level meeting.
