Socceroos Jones and Vukovic to play against Colombia
Both Brad Jones and Danny Vukovic will get their chance to impress Socceroo boss Bert van Marwijk with half a game each against Colombia, with the new coach saying either has the chance to move beyond Mat Ryan as the nation's No.1 if they prove themselves in the coming months.
Van Marwijk said the mood in the camp was positive despite the heavy loss to Norway last week, and that both he and the players had learned a lot from the experience, their first time working together in a competitive situation.
"The first moments (after the game) I left them. Maybe after half an hour I spoke to them in the dressing room, and they were so disappointed. You have to be disappointed when you lose 4-1.
"But we have to go on. It's not the end of the world. I said a few words, and when I look at the team now, I think they are more open.
"The message was also that it's good that you listen to the coaches, but it's good that you have your own initiative, because the game can also change, things can go a different way. I think they understood it and we worked very well the last few days."
He said he would make a number of changes as he wants to look at as many of his players as possible - but that no one had been given any guarantees.
"I told the players I cannot promise to let everyone play, this is a camp to see as much as possible. But there will be a few changes, I like to see the most players."
It is expected that tall defender Aleksandar Susnjar could get his first start, while Tim Cahill is likely to see some game time.
Massimo Luongo and Tom Rogic both improved Australia when they came off the bench last Friday and could also be in from the start.
