Private and intimate moments captured

Self-taught photographer Leonardo Pucci was in Goa on Saturday evening at Sunaparanta- Goa Centre for the Arts as his debut exhibition titled, ‘Episodes- (Without a real order)’ was opened for public viewing. People interested in the arts and photography assembled- not just attend the preview of his works, but to also meet the photographer in person and understand his interest in capturing private and intimate moments of couples and individuals.

Through his photographs he says, “People first feel a sense of guilt and shame as they look at the pictures, for they are aware the photographs have been clicked without the knowledge of the subjects. Then they tend to recall memories of similar instances or try and imagine themselves in the picture.”

When asked if there are chances that he could be sued for his works, Leonardo said that his subjects cannot be identified in the photographs and even if they do realise some-day that it is them, they would feel happy that they have been captured so beautifully.

The twenty-four photographs have been captured from various parts of the world like Paris, India, Istanbul and others, mostly at dusk or at night.
