WWE Smackdown Live Results: Did Daniel Bryan Return? What Happens to Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn?

After last week’s emotional episode of SmackDown Live, which saw the return of Daniel Bryan to in-ring competition, the March 27 edition of the blue brand will continue to build towards WrestleMania 34. The looming question is what, if any, repercussions await Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn after their beat down of Bryan closed the show.

With Shane McMahon out indefinitely, it’s up to Daniel Bryan to right the SmackDown Live ship heading into WrestleMania but will he be able to return and address KO and Sami Zayn’s actions after being fired by SmackDown’s GM?

The New Day return at full strength to confront Harper and Rowan after their beating at the hands of The Bludgeon Brothers at WWE Fastlane. If the Usos couldn’t take down the duo, will The New Day fare any better?

In the U.S. Title scene, champion Randy Orton and Bobby Roode will have to put their differences behind them as they take on Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh in tag team action.

Here Are The WWE SmackDown Live Results For March 27

Show starts with a recap of what happened on last week’s show with Daniel Bryan firing Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens before the big brawl between the three. 

Bobby Roode and Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh

• Jinder comes out with Sunil in a neckbrace and says he found himself another partner. Rusev partners with Jinder Mahal.
• Orton and Roode were not on the same page for most of the match and Orton hit Roode with the RKO after incidental contact. 
• Rusev/Mahal defeat Roode/Orton via pinfall after Rusev hits Orton with the Machka Kick 

Backstage

• Mahal meets with Rusev backstage and tells him that he will invite him to his celebration after winning the US title at Mania. Rusev says he's going to talk to Daniel Bryan and get inserted into the triple threat match. 
• Shinsuke approaches AJ Styles in the locker room and says he was surprised that AJ was hesitant last week and wants him in his corner when he faces Shelton Benjamin. AJ agrees because Gable will be there and is doing it for himself.

Becky Lynch vs Ruby Riott

• Becky defeats Ruby via pinfall after reversing a roll up. 
• Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan come in to attack Lynch after the bell but Lynch takes them out.

Daniel Bryan Segment

• Smackdown being the "land of opportunity," Bryan is giving Sami and Kevin one last chance. He proposes that Sami and Kevin face Shane and himself at WrestleMania. 
• Stipulation is: If Shane and Daniel Bryan win, Kevin and Sami remain fired. If KO and Sami win, they will be reinstated. 
• Bryan explains he kept giving KO and Sami chances because he feels they are the best performers and because of their history. 
• Bryan says he's sick of the mundane job of GM and he wants to fight at WrestleMania and he's going to not just fight, he's going to kick their ass. 

New Day (Xavier Woods/Big E) vs Bludgeon Brothers

• Bludgeon Brothers win via disqualification after The Usos came out.
• The two teams gang up on Harper and Rowan but the Bludgeon Brothers chase the two teams off with their mallets. 

Tyler Breeze (with Fandango) vs Dolph Ziggler

• All three will be in the Andre Battle Royal
• Ziggler defeats Breeze via pinfall after a ZigZag

Shinsuke Nakamura (with AJ Styles) vs Shelton Benjamin (with Chad Gable)

• Nakamura defeats Benjamin via pinfall after a Kinshasa 
• After the match, Nakamura asks AJ to come into the ring to thank him for being in his corner but he didn't need him. He just wanted AJ to show him how he will beat him at WrestleMania
• AJ says they will tear the house down but he will come out on top.
• Nakamura says he will win because AJ is too emotional.
• Gable and Benjamin catch AJ from behind after Nakamura leaves the ring but Shinsuke comes back and fends them off and pretends to hit the Kinshasa on AJ.
