You have to hand it to Heathrow airport - just when you think they may have run out of new and imaginative ways to sustain their reputation as the worst airline hub in the Western world they go and drop a real, bona fide, doozy.
To ‘lose’ a wheelchair and keep a passenger waiting on an empty plane for over an hour and a half is a unique form of mental torture, as BBC journalist Frank Gardner, discovered over the weekend.
Yet I have a hunch that even the perma-bungling Heathrow top brass will, in future, eventually find an (inevitably delayed) way to ensure that these types of incidents stop being quite such tediously regular occurrences for passengers with disabilities.
