Be prepared for debate on no-trust motion, Telugu Desam MPs told

It is crucial time for State, says Chandrababu Naidu

Chief Minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday asked the party MPs to attend Parliament on Tuesday without fail and see that a discussion on the no-confidence motion moved by the Telugu Desam is taken up in the Lok Sabha.

The MPs would have to wear yellow shirts and scarfs. There were chances of the debate being taken up on Tuesday or a date for it could be fixed, he said.

Addressing a teleconference with the TDP MPs and leaders, Mr. Naidu said it was a crucial time and a discussion on the motion against the NDA government was very important for the State. The MPs would have to do their homework properly. Two teams were pressed into action to assist them. While one team would function from Delhi, the other would operate from Amaravati, he said.

Many political parties including the TDP, the YSR Congress, the Congress and the CPI(M) served notices for the no-confidence motion. Lottery system could be used for allowing the parties to participate in the debate. Alternatively, the party which served the notice would be given the chance to speak first. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) too extended its support to A.P. It was also necessary to seek the cooperation from all political parties and share information with them. Notwithstanding the procedures, the MPs would have to make the best use of the opportunity and tell the nation about the injustice done to A.P., he said.

“BJP campaign”

The BJP stepped up the anti-TDP campaign through social media but the people were not inclined to believe it. Public mood was in favour of the TDP but it was necessary to give an effective reply to the BJP’s argument that the funds were not being released as the State government was not submitting the Utilisation Certificates. The Centre should be questioned why it took back the funds given for the development of the backward districts in the State.

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, TDP Parliamentary Party leader Y.S. Choudary, MPs Thota Narasimham, Galla Jayadev, Rammohan Naidu, Avanti Srinivas Rao, Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) and others attended the conference.
