Surprise! Rolls-Royce Wraith Gets a Limited Edition Model
Rolls-Royce has announced yet another special edition model.
The Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection is said to be “inspired by those who lead where others follow,” and will be a limited collection of 55 units. On the exterior, the luxurious Wraith gets a newly-developed shade of paint called Sunburst Grey. It’s a predominantly flat grey base highlighted by rich copper tones when the sun shines on it. There are also a hand-painted Sunburst Motif coachline, hand-painted Wake Channel lines on the hood, and pinstripes applied to the wheel centers.
Inside, the Wraith’s cabin is defined by Tudor Oak wood, sourced from the forests of the Czech Republic. Rolls-Royce says the material was chosen for its depth of color and the density of the grain structure. And to make it extra special, it has been illuminated, a first for the brand. A total of 176 LEDs are used, permeating through the intricately perforated design in the veneer. The result is a mesmerizing pattern that is reminiscent of the trailing light of a shooting star.

That impression is further enhanced by a handwoven configuration of 1340 fiber optic lights used in the starlight headliner, serving as a glittering night sky. The automaker says it takes nearly 20 hours to configure the headliner, which also features eight shooting stars that fire at random, mainly over the front seats.
Up front, the Wraith is trimmed in Saddlery Tan, while the rear seats are covered in Anthracite leather. Contrast piping and stitching can be seen throughout the cabin, and those wanting even more contrast can opt for Seashell-colored leather in the rear. Final touches to the interior include hand-woven stainless steel fabric covering the center transmission tunnel and door panels, along with tread plates that has “Wraith Luminary Collection – One of Fifty-Five” engraved in hand-polished stainless steel.
“Wraith Luminary is a stunning Collection Car. It speaks directly of our contemporary Rolls-Royce brand – progressive and trailblazing; the pinnacle in hand-crafted luxury,” said Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös. “This is a motor car that celebrates visionaries who achieve eminence in their respective fields. Indeed, this collection is for the world’s luminaries.”
