StocExpo Europe 2018 takes pulse of the industry

Rotterdam, Netherlands (27/03/2018) --( ASIA TODAY )-- StocExpo Europe’s conference and exhibition successfully came to a close in Ahoy, Rotterdam last week after a busy and informative three days.

Attracting an international audience from over 70 countries worldwide, the event welcomed thousands of high level decision makers to the Ahoy, Rotterdam to explore the challenges and opportunities presented in what is now a highly dynamic market. Visitors attended from world leading oil majors, terminals and investment companies, including CEOs, directors, terminal managers, investors, senior engineers and procurement managers from Shell, Vopak, VTTI, Rubis Terminal, Vesta Terminals, Bilfinger, Odfjell Terminals, Stolthaven Terminals and Kinder Morgan among many others.

Alongside this, the highly anticipated conference programme delivered by leading experts covered subjects including terminal process safety, market analysis and growth opportunities, the latest industry regulations, the future of terminals and technical & operational excellence. The conference programme included thought provoking and highly topical content from Jane Ren of Atomiton and Mark Noordhoek Hegt of Vopak who described how digitisation is set to transform the industry. Paulo Nery of Genscape and Onur Capan of VTTI provided a market analysis overview and predicted the future of the market both within Europe and globally. With safety being so important in the industry, Sally Martin from Shell and Christopher Beale from BASF were both also popular speakers as they addressed process safety fundamentals implemented within their companies.

Talk amongst the delegates during the networking breakout sessions was focused on how the tank terminal industry needs to adapt to changes in the market. The accompanying exhibition was the backdrop for a number of innovative product and service launches. This provided excellent networking opportunities for visitors, allowing them time to discuss some of the most pertinent issues affecting the industry as well as gain insight into new technology and innovations on the market.
