Professor CS Dubey, director Campus of Open Learning told The Pioneer that ‘e-library portal’ and ‘Learning Management System’ (LMS) dashboard would be provided directly to the individual students for these courses.  He said expert team comprising of IT experts and SOL faculty members will start hands on training from April 3 for the students to help them understand basics of these courses. Initially 10,000 students of SOL will be provided training.

A learning management system (LMS) is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of educational courses or training programs. They help the instructor deliver material to the students, administer tests and other assignments, track student progress, and manage record-keeping. These modern courses are quite popular among students in foreign universities and technical institutes as they cater to the contemporary requirement of the job market that constitutes the cloud work force working in field of “cloud computing”.
