ORLANDO, Fla. – The Patriots will officially be without both starting tackles from Super Bowl LII.

The Dallas Cowboys announced on Monday that they signed Cameron Fleming to a 1-year contract. The deal is reportedly worth up to $3.5 million next season.

A fourth-round pick in 2014, Fleming has predominantly been the Patriots’ top backup tackle over the last four seasons. The 25-year-old started 20 of 47 games played with the Patriots, starting all over the offensive line. Last year, he started six of 12 regular season games played. Fleming also started at right tackle in the AFC Championship and Super Bowl.

Fleming’s season actually got off to a rough start as LaAdrian Waddle won the job as the Patriots top backup tackle out of training camp. When Marcus Cannon was lost for the season with an ankle injury, Waddle was inserted into the starting lineup. When Waddle went down with an ankle injury, Fleming stepped up and performed well.

The performance earned him some solid money with the Cowboys. Now, the Patriots will move on without Fleming and starting left tackle Nate Solder. The team re-signed Waddle last week and also added Matt Tobin. The team could also add to the tackle position in next month’s draft.
