PUEBLO, Colo. – Burkburnett's Sarah Moore helped lead the Midwestern State women's golf team to its second team title of the season Monday.
The Mustangs captured the CSU-Pueblo Pack Spring Invitational by eight shots against a 15-team field at Walking Stick Golf Course with four individuals finishing in the top 10.
Moore, a senior who won two state titles in high school, had her best showing in 2017-18 by finishing fourth with a 72-73—145. She had four birdies in each round and was a stroke off the lead before a double bogey on the 17th hole.
"Sarah was fantastic this week," MSU coach Jeff Ray said. "This was her best tournament at MSU."
Emily Brennan (70-76—146) and Lexi Read (73-73—146) tied for fifth, while Juanita Gomez (76-74—150) tied for 10th. The Mustangs compete again at the West Texas A&M Desert Classic April 2-3 in Tucson, Arizona.
