ORLANDO, Fla. – We still don’t have a public answers as to whether or not Rob Gronkowski will suit up for the Patriots nest season. Patriots owner Robert Kraft, however, seems positive when the subject of his Pro Bowl tight end comes up.
One thing that he’s sure of is that Gronk certainly seems in shape.
Last week, Gronkowski popped up at an event in Miami last week. In an Instagram video, you can see Gronkowski have a dance off with Shaquille O’Neal. The All-Pro showed off his vertical by jumping on Shaq’s shoulders.
When asked about Gronk’s uncertain future, Kraft didn’t say whether or not his playmaker will return, but admitted to seeing him at Gillette Stadium and said the dance off with Shaq left him encouraged.
“Well, I saw him few weeks ago come into the building after hours,” Kraft said. “But, I should say one thing, when it comes to Gronk, I’ve met a lot of people in my life, I’ve never met anyone like him. If the good lord lets us come back as someone, I’ve said it before, he’s the most carefree, happy, up-kind of guy. I must say I sort of got excited seeing him vault up on Shaq’s shoulders. For a guy that size to be able to hop up on a 7’2 or whatever Shaq is, is pretty cool. So that speaks well for his potential athletic moves this coming year.”
As far as Gronk’s status for next season goes, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the Boston Glove that there’s “no update.”
