Police in Thunder Bay, Ont., say officers were called Monday morning to investigate a sudden death on the city's north side.

In a brief written statement, police said they were called to the 400 block of Cumberland Street N., just after 10 a.m. where a deceased person was found.

In the release issued Monday afternoon, police said officers continue to hold the scene and that an investigation was underway.
