The phone features the first ever 25MP selfie camera on a phone and comes at a price starting Rs 21,990.
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched the much awaited F7 in India. The phone will come in two variants, 4GB/64GB variant and 6GB/128GB at a price of Rs 21,990 and Rs 26,990, respectively. It will be available at Oppo’s offline stores and exclusively on Flipkart. The sale will begin on April 9.
Oppo F7 is the latest Android smartphone which features the notch similar to iPhone X. At this price point, the phone will compete against the recently launched Vivo V9, which also sports the notch and a 24 megapixel camera. The selfie-focussed F7 comes with a massive 25 megapixel front camera and is the successor to the very popular Oppo F5.
As for the specs, the phone sports a 6.23-inch display with extremely thin bezels in a unibody metal design shell with a glossy back and comes with dimensions of 75.3mm x 158mm x 7.5mm. The IPS LCD display screen has a resolution of 1080*2280 FHD+ Super Full Screen with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection to safeguard the screen from scratches and damage.
The phone is powered by an eight core Mediatek Helio P60 processor which clocks 2.0 GHz. The phone comes with a ARM Mali-G72 GPU processor and as mentioned earlier comes in two variants – the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory version, and the premium one with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. The phone supports expandable memory of up to 256 GB via dedicated microSD.
But, the highlight of F7 is its camera. The ‘AI-powered selfie phone’ comes with a 25MP HDR front camera with features such as A.I. Beauty Technology 2.0 technology which scans through more than 296 spots on a user’s face and LED flash. The camera has an aperture rate of f/2.0 and can capture videos at 2160p at 30fps. The phone has a 16 megapixel primary camera with an aperture rate of F/1.8.
On the software front, the phone runs on Oppo’s refreshed ColorOS 5.0 which is based on Android Oreo 8.1. The phone has miscellaneous features such as face unlock, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, light sensor, G-sensor/acceleration sensor, microUSB 2.0, OTG compatibility etc.
The 4G phone supports Dual Nano-SIM cards and comes with a 3,400 non-removable battery. The phone is available in three colours – Diamond Black, Moonlight Silver, and Solar Red.
Acknowledging the huge demand, the company has announced a special one-time flash sale on April 2 on both the offline and online platforms. The company has also announced a one year one-time free screen replacement. In addition, the company has also announced a 5 percent discount on purchasing the phone with ICICI Bank cards and Rs 1,200 cash back along with 120 GB data on a Reliance Jio connection.
