Two siblings were stabbed to death in Odisha's Balasore district on Sunday evening for refusing to sell chicken on credit, said a report. The incident took place at Jhagadapadhi Square.

Reportedly, two accused arrived on a motorcycle at the poultry centre owned by the siblings - Bikash Jena and Tapan Jena and tried to buy meat on credit.

When the siblings to refused to lend credit, a heated argument to took place between them. According to the police complaint lodged by the victims' family members, the accused attacked the brothers with a sharp object, wounding them fatally. The accused fled the scene, leaving the brothers bleeding grievously.

The brothers were rushed to District Headquaters Hospital for immediate medical treatment by the locals. However, the Jena brothers, who hailed from Nangudi village, succumbed to their injuries.

The Chandipur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident, reported Asian Age.

The police is trying to identify the accused and arrest them.
