State police arrested a Middletown man Saturday after a hit-and-run crash lead troopers to find drugs and a weapon in his vehicle, police said Monday.

Police said 22-year-old Marcos Vinicio Godoy crashed a black Ford F-150 into a Ford Fusion around 1:40 p.m. on North Dupont Highway at Messina Hill Road but kept going.

The Fusion's driver wasn't hurt.

Shortly after the crash, police got calls that a black F-150 was driving on three wheels and had pulled into commercial property of Jerome Drive, police said. That's where police found Godoy and arrested him.

Police said they smelled marijuana in the car, searched the vehicle and found 12.3 grams and an unloaded Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun with one magazine and 11 rounds of ammunition.

Godoy was charged with driving under the influence; carrying a concealed deadly weapon; possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; possession with intent to deliver; possession of marijuana; and traffic offenses.

Godoy was released on a $25,775 unsecured bond.
