Market Now: ICICI Bank, YES Bank, IndusInd Bank keep Nifty Private Bank index up

NEW DELHI: Shares of ICICI Bank (up 1.47 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.13 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 1.05 per cent) climbed over 1 per cent in morning trade on Monday, keeping the Nifty Private Bank index in the green.
The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 13,466 around 10:05 am (IST).
Shares of South Indian Bank (up 0.44 per cent), Karnataka Bank (up 0.39 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.18 per cent) were also trading with gains.
Meanwhile, shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.65 per cent), IDFC Bank (down 0.42 per cent), Federal Bank (down 0.39 per cent) and HDFC Bank (down 0.30 per cent) were trading in the negative zone.
Benchmark indices opened on a cautious note on Monday, tracking mixed cues from other Asian markets. The sentiment remained tepid amid concerns over a likely escalation in US-China trade war and its impact on global trade.
The NSE Nifty50 index was down 11 points at 9,987, while the BSE Sensex was up 25 points at 32,621.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
Shares of Bajaj Finance jumped over 2 per cent, leading the pack of gainers in the Nifty index.
However, HPCL, GAIL and BPCL were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
